Just bought two 36g silver coins from France.

Surviving the credit crunch is all that matters. History proves that assets will revalue against gold and that is the liferaft you will want. Silver is also extremely cheap relative to gold so many people here are not only shielded from economic fallout, but stand to profit handsomely.
The status quo is not going to carry on forever. The international players are clearly renegotiating trade and in no possible reality can the dollar and America be any better off than we were in the past for a LONG LONG time. Americans have no savings and we shipped away our manufacturing base so don't even have high wages to start rebuilding savings. Most jobs that are high paying often are linked to government contracts or insurance such as construction or the medical industry. It's not by magic that all of these people get paid, and the government and financial system can't function without a trade deficit financed with debt. It's going to be nasty at a time when people think a 2020 style recovery is just around the corner. They'll buy in and lose it all.

36g

My 20 franc napoleon finally arrived I keep forgetting how small gold coins often are think I need a 40 franc next

Thinking of moving a large portion of my savings out of a HYSA into silver or some other commodity. Do you anons have any advice or things I need to know? Total beginner, hit me with anything and everything.

Lmao, fresh fish! yes take advice from the coin merchants here and their scam victims

Lmao, big spender. Why is it only broke incel losers buying silver?

I'm just looking for information, just because you got scammed doesn't mean you need to come shit up the thread with pointless replies.

You admitted you are dumb you are asking scammers and other dummies for advice which proves you are dumb. Lmao not my problem that you seem determined to fuck up your life

if digital ID is linked to internet access (as intended), then any crypto holdings one has will act as psychological pressure to buy into the new system. Can rugpull all crypto holders via digital ID (mark of the beast). rugpull beyond just the material sense.

PMs are one of the few ways to carry some value over once the collapse is triggered.

in the meantime between the economic collapse and the new system, PMs will be extraordinarily valuable due to normies panicking and other factors. they will also be one of the few ways to carry value over without selling your literal soul.

if this is the case, it makes sense that there are are dark financial and spiritual interests getting people away from PMs by any means.

Bitcoin is one of the few ways to carry some value over once the collapse is triggered, the other being $US, st4icks and real estate.

My copypasta:
- For new generic bars, note the premiums (added charges) over spot: they go up for smaller pieces.
- Some beautiful generic items are priced comically high (Germanias, GSM special editions, e.g.). Regardless, dealers may categorize and price these as "generic" (below or at spot) when buying them from you. Your gamble might pay off if they become highly regarded, but this usually takes years to realize.
- The firsts of new artful or theme bullion series are often missed by later collectors, who may pay high premiums to fill in gaps. Caution: political or cringeworthy themes are less likely to appreciate.
- Gov't-issued coins cost least during the mint run. Once ended and dealers run out of stock, their prices often jump then rise a bit faster than generic silver.
- Annual changes to overall designs become series (Somali elephants, Canadian Wildlife, Australian kookaburras or koalas, island nations' series, etc.), adding potential appreciation.
- Maples, Eagles, Wieners, Britannias, etc. are nice and boring, but recognition helps sell to customers more comfortable and confident buying them.
- If you buy pieces that appeal to your sense of art, taste, and interests, you will still appreciate them even if the price or value of the PM goes nowhere. Caveat: if you go to sell, it's harder to let go of them.
- Shipping is an added premium. Many online vendors offer free shipping for purchasing a minimum amount (commonly $200). Your local coin shop has no shipping to charge.
- Vendors may charge extra for using a credit card. That might balance (ebay!) if your card offers cash back.
- Keep all sales receipts and a spreadsheet of your purchases to track profit/loss: it's quite revealing and may help guide future decisions.

Most everyone recommends the following:

Buy physical only and do not keep it in a bank or vault service.

Buy both silver and gold but in ratio. Like 20:1 or 100:1.

Buy "the coin of the realm" which means something that is recognizable in your country. For example if you are in the US then Eagles. If Canadian, Maples. And so on. Some people like generic rounds as they are cheaper (lower premium) but that is up to you.

Premium is the $ amount above spot price charged for silver/gold. Govt minted coins have a higher premium than generic rounds.

Shop around online and visit your local coin store (LCS) for best price AFTER you decide what you want. OP has sites you can use to get price.

Stay away from meme, commemorative, and collector coins until you know what you are doing or know you will never need to sell them.

1 ounce coins and 1/5/10 ounce bars are the easiest to buy and sell so people generally stick with those sizes.

Coins less than 1 ounce have higher premiums so 1 ounce is usually the smallest you want to go (most bang for the buck).

There are a ton of resources and helpful knowledgable anons here despite the incessant fudd trolling so don't hesitate to ask questions. Bots and agents here are desperately trying to derail anons from buying precious metals so just filter/ignore. Hope this helps.

Next gold purchase is going to be either a double sovereign, a 40 franc or a 1/2 oz Britannia which I'm leaning towards because it wouldn't be taxed here

what about blanks? you cannot sell them as is but they sure hold their weight in value

Blanks (planchets) are astonishingly expensive and hard to find for us end-users to buy. I don't know why.

I have no opinion on blanks. Curious, why did you get them?

Thank you!

Thanks!

to sell his gay ass coins

You're replying to a jeet retard who spams this board as his job.

Nothing dumber or broker than a stacktard

Bitcoin still mooning, silver still crashing, depressed incels hit hardest.....lmao the Swiss guy warned you

Okay but can you hold it?

ITS A TOTAL FREAKSHOW I AM LAUGHING I SHOULDNT BE LAUGHING BUT I AM LAUGHING

greg claw.png - 1145x821, 1.41M

fuck you Greg

Caved in to the voices in my head and bought a triangular coin

Here's the other side

News about coinage is always interesting. If the metals revalue, so too will base metal coins. During the covid panic there was all kinds of refusal to give out coins and they were seemingly trying to hoard it. Who the hell needs $800,000 of specifically dimes?

Lmao coin merchant suggests everyone be a lemming and pay huge premiums....lmao

Nope, only morons need to "muh hold it"

Did you ever notice all these coin merchant talking points yall love makes them rich and you poor? Lmao of course you didn't

Beanie babies, lmao you can hold your losses!

I'm having issues figuring out the value for this, can someone help me? it's a silver 1 Salung (1/4 baht) 1908, under Rama V, Thailand. Can only find the price for MS60+ but i'd like to know for a regular VF one.

Very nice - what makes you happy is always rewarding.

Fed (criminal mafia) at work.

Lizard

Why must they deface their coins like this?
Abominable.
