We are due for another gamma squeeze. The hedgie will have to hedge their bet, losing money in the process.
Which also means *someone* will cash in that money.

If Gamestop itself is not the one doing the cash in, then who would? Another "slightly-less-evil" hedgie?
I'd rather have Gamestop filling in its war chest, than merely transferring money between hedgie.

Its share price has been steadily increasing.
And issuing a dividend is not a magical "trigger moass" button. Not only some money is taken away from Gamestop's warchest. But also, picrel.

The only thing you should expect form Gamestop itself, in-between, is for it to stay afloat.
