The phrase rippled up, is a variation of the phrase tethered up.
Tether is the stablecoin USDT and ripple is referring to the stablecoin RLUSD; and not referring to XRP.
When someone says they tethered up, it means they swapped their crypto for USDT.
And when someone says they rippled up, it means they swapped their crypto for RLUSD.
Basically a way to say you sold, because you're expecting XRP (or whatever coin you were originally holding) to go lower.
But, since you swapped to a stablecoin, instead of some fiat like US dollars, it's also an indication that you plan to buy back in later.
