Tax cuts on overtime and tips are retarded
i don't collect overtime or tips, but I think it's a great idea to reward people who want to go above and beyond. plus you have to consider 10 years ago people were tipping cash, and the waitresses never reported that shit, now that all your tips are on cards, they're getting reported and its squeezing these people. granted I've never seen a tax cut I didn't like. Inheritance taxes were harsh too, like if you have a family farm worked it your whole life with you dad, then he dies, and you've got a tax bill you can't afford, so you have to sell half the fucking farm, it's a damn shame, when the people who are actually wealthy and have half a brain just set up a fucking trust and everything changes hands avoiding the tax completely anyway. I mean it's political suicide to go after the entitlements, which is truly the only way we'll get any meaningful cuts, but unless the government can find a way to collect more revenue shit's fucked. Every ponzi scheme eventually collapses, and social security is on the verge of it, but they could increase the maximum taxable earnings, or increase the minimum eligibility age, not great choices, but it would at least keep it solvent a little longer. I think they should just scrap the whole thing too boss.
