I've been considering moving to Fort Collins the past couple of years now. Somewhere safe, small town vibes, no crime, and still close to Denver for outings. Colorado is pretty sweet.

Housing is fucked everywhere right now with zero regulations. Shit shacks in Anchorage, Alaska are going for 500k-600k. Check it out on Zillow. Crypto is the only way to bridge that gap these days. I think the US housing market is very overbought right now, you are seeing price cuts everywhere. In my neck of the woods in particular I expect to see some larger corrections than the national average, the Colorado economy is not growing like it used to be. We used to rank 6th or 7th in economic growth and now we are 45th. I don't think CO is "up and coming" more like "came and went". Personally I am looking at FL, TX and MT. I will probably keep my property in CO though.

My family had just started a restaurant during all that and actually needed and deserved it if they were going to shoot us in the foot.
But my father's was too autistic to make use of it. We got it and instead of using the money as though it's fungible, he actually spent it on giving a bunch of shitty ungrateful employees huge raises (who would have gotten the same amount on unemployment anyways) so they could sit around and do nothing while nobody was going out to eat.
