i have about 500 SCHD so i'm glad theres another. Havent heard of UGI but i'll look into it and wait around until summer to buy.

ugi is just another utility stock, but it has a high dividend and a really solid dividend history
so it's cool for that reason, if you're into that. It's a boring stable stock that won't really go anywhere, just pay out a dividend and chug along.
But yes, ugi will still be there. No rush to buy now. Unlike the other stocks that are more like a buy the dip moment. I can always come back to UGI and buy more of it later

Thoughts on hood stock

Figures that market peaked on Friday when my puts expired. God is mocking me.

There's a video that shows how you can tell someone is using autotune because you can see the singers notes snap in between one note and another perfectly even though a natural singer can't do it that instantaneously. Every once in a while you see it with the market too.

SCHD has underperformed VTI & large cap growths on most time scales though?

Retail is buying in like you've never seen before!

Brokers profit from volatility, but volatility never lasts >5Y, so I don't touch 'm

My theory is the market only went up these past couple weeks because of a short squeeze. Walmart for example last week was 2/3 puts and 1/3 calls.

getting fucked by wallstreet again. you think its gonna hit a safety this week ?

SCHD has underperformed VTI & large cap growths on most time scales though?

it still tracks the SNP500/VOO or VTI, except over the last 3 or so years because VOO has become a tech heavy index. VOO and VTI aren't really all that different, because it's market cap weighted, so the small and mid caps added compared to VOO are like, a 10% difference.

Nothing beats large cap growth, at least not recently. SCHD is a large cap value or large cap high dividend index. If you want that, buy QQQ, or SCHG I guess.

The dividends dont really save in downturns and large caps have outperformed due to better economies of scale while small/midcaps have failed to achieve growth.

Usd as global reserve currency is a privilege niggers need to pay for
weak dollar is bullish

walmart is not getting short squeezed brother

or you know, it could be a bubble in large cap.

I think structurally small caps have been fucked due to supply chain disruption, inflation, labor costs that were easily absorbed by larger firms.

giddy-waltz.gif - 498x218, 151.54K

like just statistically and logically you should have many more 10, 50, and 100 baggers in the universe of small cap stocks compared to large caps.

bearish

Yes/No. They help suppress lending rates so the US can pump equity and help the debt aristocracy. However if they dump bonds and stop buying.. the US has far too much debt and it's doomed to blow up. The only way out of this controlled inflation with broad based wage gains

THE MOVIES HAVE BEEN TARIFFED

Movies are now more expensive to make! I will never forget this insult! (Your reputation with The Stalwarts -20)

Most time scales point to small cap index sucking cocks because the good ones don't stay small caps

Q3 2024 only 24% of US debt is owned by foreign countries and that number is probably even lower now. These countries buy US treasuries because they are the global de facto risk free asset. "Dumping" it would not hurt the United States in the slightest

most of the papers i have seen on this question disagree with that assessment. small caps on average outperform large cap, this has been an unusual few years tho.

How fast would it take for the fed to print 8 trillion USD?

would increase the rate for the bonds which would increase carrying costs for the federal government. This is the only reason trump cucked the first time around.

What's that, Bobo? Already losing STEAM on the FVTES? Stinky. Fvcking. Green. Common sense? NO MORE! BVLL FVCKING SVRGE!

Countries buy USD bonds so they have access to hard currency which is needed in trade. Tariffs meant drastically reduced trade which means dump em. They gotta have a buyer.. which leads to firms lacking liquidity/need to buy yadda yah

walmart is not getting short squeezed brother

It went up 21% you ignorant fuck.

you think its gonna hit a safety this week ?

Probably not without any real news. Good chance of going a little higher or crabbing.

SELL REDDIT SELL

Lets be honest this country is on absolute EZ mode right now, its being taxed at a mere fraction of what it could be. Death Tax should really be at 40% that alone is the entire national debt. Could tax corporations 6% more probably get away with it. Cars should be property taxed. Consumption Tax anything over 50K in watches, jewelry, cars, what have you. VAT Tax. I mean the reason why our country is so messed up is because its pretty much only had tax cuts since Bush. Why people are so mad about Trump is he had the biggest tax increase since Clinton.

yes man every single country in the world is going to sell all of their US treasury holdings at the same time just to stick to trump. Then they'll all move that money into.... uhh.... gold?? RMB debt?? What are we even talking about it here man
you were one of those guys spamming threads about how China is destroying the US by dumping bonds and it's all over it's all over when the 10 yr yield went to 4.5 right??? How did that end up for you
come back to me when treasury auctions aren't selling out immediately

WMT short float = 1% of total stock

Kek sure bro, things only rise when they get short squeezed

you have to have a high short interest to get short squeezed brother

I really wish Trump was more serious about getting Europe to fund Ukraine's war. They're barely at one million artillery shells a year. This is when they fear Russia will attack and NATO revolves around air supremacy.

everytime you bring up raising the estate tax richfags put out propaganda convincing people that it doesn't only apply to .1% of the population

How fast would it take for the fed to print 8 trillion USD?

Two weeks

Speaking over the weekend on the tariffs he has placed on China:

“At some point, I’m going to lower them, because otherwise, you could never do business with them, and they want to do business very much”

Also recap:

More from Trump today/weekend:

Trump says he has no plans to speak with Xi this week. Confirming the prospect on any deal with China is a long way off

He can't be that retarded to really think that. But he knows his voterbase is that retarded and that's what mattered.

Trump suggested that his administration

could

some

countries.
The president also said in an interview Sunday on NBC that he’s

willing

to lower the tariff on Chinese imports to spur trade. He also signaled that his

Last week, the Asian nation said it’s

The dividends dont really save in downturns

look at the graph my dude. SCHD has tracked VOO/VTI for a long time, until about 2022 when the tech stocks started going wacko mode

large caps have outperformed due to better economies of scale while small/midcaps have failed to achieve growth.

There are about a million different explanations for why large caps have strangely outperformed small caps recently.
Normally, small cap value wins over the long term. But for the last 10 years, not so much. Will large cap growth keep winning, or will small cap value or large cap value eventually make a come back? Who can say.
And normally small caps get hit harder in a crash, but come back harder in the recovery compared to large caps. More risky and more max drawdown, but higher return in the long run. That has not been true recently.
But if it was ever going to reverse, right NOW would be the time to finally buy small cap value and bet against large cap growth.

Most time scales point to small cap index sucking cocks because the good ones don't stay small caps

yes, and when that happens they get sold from an index (or you just keep them in your portfolio and eventually sell them when they are done with 2x, 4x, or 10x growth or whatever it is your greed limit is), and thus you make money
If you're talking about indexes, they naturally buy low and sell high when a small cap graduates from the index by becoming a mid cap.
