Have any of you found a way to consistently make money money gambling, every time I go to the casino going with a buy in of 200 I leave with 6-800, don't increase my buy in because I don't want to risk it.
I've been thinking of playing craps recently seems with a consistent shooter you can tilt the odds away from the house thoughts?
martingale but its still not worth the time
yesterday i deposted 10$ into online website and came out with 70$.
bro just buy bitcoin its that easy
With the way odds work, gambling with small amounts doesn''t really do anything, does it?
What I mean is, the more "games" you gamble, each successive game brings you closer to the average, where the average is you being in the negative
Playing 1 game with a huge amount of money has a far greater chance of you actually being successful when compared to playing 10,000 games
You could play 1 game and bet everything and be finished and not have to gamble ever again, or you play 10,000 games and are guarantee to not make a profit based on the fact of how the odds work
That’s because you don’t understand how to gamble properly. If you want to gamble in a profitable way, you typically target games that can offer a positive EV, like poker or blackjack. With a bit of self-control, bankroll management, and disciplined bet sizing, it’s not all that different from trading.
Society has just been brainwashed into thinking that gambling is all about betting big to win big usually on games that are negative EV over time.
hmmm, so why does the casino want you to stay in the casino for as long as possible?
isnt that because of what i mentioned, the more games you play, the closer you get to average, which is being a loss
the casino hates the guy that comes in, slap 250k down, wins 1 game, and leaves with 500k
That’s true, but it's more about who is playing. The majority of people who go to casinos are degenerate gamblers, and the casinos want them to stay as long as possible. If you actually understand gambling and focus on positive EV games, you're pretty much limited to poker which requires long sessions or blackjack where short sessions can work, but only if you're card counting.
And yes, almost every game in the casino is negative EV over time.
While some people do manage to win big and leave, it's rare. Most don’t have the self-control they start thinking, "Maybe I can double it again," and give it back. Casinos aren’t built for pro gamblers, they're built for addicts and impulsive players.
There is no way to make consistent money gambling. If it was easy, everyone would do it. Are you retarded anon?
buying bitcoin is easy yet only 3% do it
poker or blackjack. With a bit of self-control, bankroll management, and disciplined bet sizing, it’s not all that different from trading.
poker is incredibly hard to make a profit it because the variance is insane and the rake crushes you at low stakes. its like 10bb /100 hands so even if you crush your oponents you can still not make a profit
This. Dude has clearly never played poker. It's not a gambling game. Sure, you can get lucky once and land a full house on your first hand, but it requires skill and knowledge to make consistent money
poker is incredibly hard to make a profit
I've literally been living off grinding at brick and mortar Texas Hold' em for the past 15 years. Oh yea, you lose. But with discipline and patience, you can at least make minimum wage doing it...there's plenty of worse ways to make money. And yeah, every once in a while I have to drive Uber to get more money, but it IS possible to make this your career.
There's other things like slaphouses and bitcoin casinos where you trade your money for gift cards, and then buy a PS5 controller and sell low on Offerup, but that takes time and a passion for the hustle. I've made some good connections over the years and make a pretty penny selling skateboards on the side to skate shops.
It really just boils down to whether or not you're willing to sit in a casino for 18 hours, but then again, I just can't work a "JOB-JOB." My real pay is the freedom...even though I don't have much of it. I sleep like 2 hours a night and the only reason I'm on here now is because I made some money in Vegas last month....but that was just luck. BUT luck that'll keep me from having to do anything for the rest of the year. It is possible to live this life, but I wouldn't recommend it. Read this book and get GREAT at math...not "good" but GREAT. Best wishes to you all, and I'm glad to be back.
You are just getting lucky. Put more volume in (for example 100 casino visits) and you will end up losing it all.
I had a streak where I'd go to the casino like twice a week with 300USD and leave with up 500-1000 80% of the time. Felt like a free money glitch. I'd go to the casino and do a 300 withdraw, get up to 10 or more 100USD chips and then play with the smaller denomination chips and usually cash out at like 700-1300. I must have done it like 8-9 out of 10 times.
Then the pendulum swing in the other direction and I kept going to the casino with a 300USD withdraw, lost it all without hitting anything, doing another 300 USD withdraw, same again, then driving home empty handed. I did this the majority of the time
And now whenever I go to the casino I always seem to lose. Its just luck. The house edge is only like 1-2% so you can still swing it in your favour. The more you game the higher odds of losing overall though. If you do 100 hours of gambling you are guaranteed to be a loser
The best way to do casino house games is to bet big and small volume. If you wanna gamble at the casino do like 3 roulette spins and leave. Not 6 hours.
because I made some money in Vegas last month....but that was just luck. BUT luck that'll keep me from having to do anything for the rest of the year.
slots or table game?
This is what i was talking about
Oh and one other thing, get a mentor. Luckily the casino down the block from where I live had a free "poker school" back in 2010ish and the guy that ran it was real old school and taught me a lot of things. Find someone like that before you jump in.
slots or tables
Slots. Again I got really lucky. There IS a science to playing slots, believe it or not...but that's a long story. Casinos in Nevada are legally allowed to program their slots to make money, but there's quotas and requirements, and of course chance. The machines are required to pay out after quotas are made, but then they still have to use random number generators, so if a machine doesn't meet the required payout then it MUST be disabled and removed....and there's more to it. Gaining an an advantage to this requires hours and hours of surveillance—watching other people lose and lose and lose, and then attacking the machine with a high bankroll that you're willing to lose. And then of course, you can still lose. I simply got lucky.
As for Blackjack, that's essentially panhandling. I don't go near it...unless it's video (slots), but that's only because of what I just said about their slot machine rules. If you play at the table then you might as well be playing Kino.
Bro... the "programmed to pay out" thing is what gambling degenerates tell themselves because they dont understand basic math
Each spin is independent of the last. Theres no such thing as a hot slot machine. The slot doesnt retain a memory of its past history payout. It doesnt need to. Theres no such thing as machines going cold or hot.
Put 100 dollars on a random roulette color. Every time you lose you double the amount, and the moment you win, you pull back and never again gamble. Most likely outcome is that you managed to make pocket change out of them, which outs you above 80% of gamblers. And then you don't put your money in there ever again. It's a foolproof plan IMO
moment you win, you pull back and never again gamble.
The slot doesnt retain a memory of its past history payout. It doesnt need to. Theres no such thing as machines going cold or hot.
LOOK IT UPwkthn
The D'Alembert Roulette Strategy is just a long term losing strategy. Again, play Kino instead.
I already have numerous times.
Slot machines are programmed to have a Return To Player percentage. Lets say its 96%. The machine uses RNG to payout 96% of money inserted into the machine to the player
Humans are illogical so they think the machine has to play "catchup" when it hasnt paid enough out but that isnt how odds work.
An easier to understand analogy is when a roulette table hits red 10 times in a row it doesnt mean its more likely to hit black the next time. Each spin is independent of the last.
It's like a 5 hour conversation, but yes, machines are allowed to be programmed to make money for the house which is why slaphouses are so popular, because the machines can be modified to increase your odds of winning....I know bro, I bought one and tested it myself.
If you were honest with yourself and if you could see your lifetime staked dollar amount on slot machines and the massive downward trend of you losing money over time youd come to your senses that theres no such thing as hot and cold slot machines but humans are illogical and you dont have your lifetime losses on slots on a neatly plotted graph available to you
nah. statistically poker or blackjack do have the best chances against the house, you have to do your research and learn how to play them. card counting blackjack for example, it's against the rules and 9/10 they will notice it fast and you'll get kicked out or banned from playing. it is still possible to get a 0.5% edge or something along those lines. it's more a thing you do for fun if you enjoy the games and have extra money to waste.
i wouldn't gamble if the goal is to make money consistently.
An easier to understand analogy is when a roulette table hits red 10 times in a row it doesnt mean its more likely to hit black the next time. Each spin is independent of the last.
YES! slots must adhere to RNG no matter what, but they can legally be programmed to "collect" money. This gives you an advantage, but it's still chance. I clearly said that I got lucky. At the end of the day it IS gambling. I'd go into more detail but I have to go to a fucking baby shower in a few hours.
My variation is that you get away the moment you win, tho, and since you double every time, you are almost guaranteed to make it. The only losing scenario is landing 10 times in a row into the wrong color, and at that point it means God himself wants you to lose.
martingale falls apart when you lose 4 spins in a row (roughly 1 in 16 chance) and youve suddenly staked 1500 dollars in total to try and win 100. Then if you lose again thats other 1600 dollars (3100 total) to try and win 100.
At that stage youre going to be pleading with god to hit and its only a 1 in 32 chance. Lower than the chance to hit a single roulette number and people hit single numbers all the time.
Miss again (1 in 64 chance) and youre betting over 6 grand to try and win 100 dollars.
You might as well lean into the gambling degeneracy and put 25 dollars on a single number numerous times to try and hit it big
I said I got lucky....but yes there are slots that are more likely to pay out, factoring the rng of course. That payout can literally be split into cents over a course of a looong time, but I'm just talking about stacking any and all odds in your favor.
So like if you win $10k (and using 15% of what you're willing to lose) then if you've made that decision, why not increase your odds? Fuck it dude don't play slots....I got lucky...that's it.
That would be cool
Yeah see you get that. I'm sorry, but playing Hold' em with other players is the only way. Everything else is just hope.
Miss again (1 in 64 chance)
If you're backing away from a less than 2% chance of losing, why are you gambling to begin with?
You know how they tell us to "go outside and touch grass"? Go to your local card house and spot some dudes at the table and I can guarantee you'll have like 5 best friends by next week....but pic related if you ever want to get them out of there. Literally know a guy that panhandles a block away just so he can come back...showers at the gym and I don't believe he has ever slept.
Basically if you do martingale for more than 1 hour you will hit a spot where you will lose all your small stakes wins in 2 minutes.
You might as well do the opposite strategy of betting on single numbers to hit big once than to do martingale and win small a lot but lose big once.
Hold'em
picrel
No, that's why it's called GAMBLING
Play craps
You can win, but most people are greedy or chase losses to the point where they blow any wins they've ever made and then some.
I had a little phase where I punted for fun and probably ended up in the black, but I am quite disciplined and I had 20 years in the casino industry as a teacher.
The only game I really enjoyed playing was blackjack, the rest will suck your money away unless you're extremely lucky.
How brainwashed can you be? the rtp is legally demanded retard.
You cannot jew your way out of it, the state will shut down casinos for that and they have already done so.
you typically target games that can offer a positive EV, like poker or blackjack.
The year is 2025. This is not feasible anymore.
As soon casinos realize what you're doing, they kick you out. And they realize it VERY fast nowadays.
I remember once an anon talked about how you can sign up at many online casinos to take the bonuses, he had a PDF with some advice or something, maybe if he sees this, he will repost that again.
Lmao. You're a delusional trash gambler.
Let's see if your "money" can mortgage a house, you know, shit that normal wagies do.
The RTP is calculated each independent spin. Nobody said it doesnt calculate it youre making that up as a strawman
Imagine a croupier at a roulette table looking at the spin history and going "hmm its been black too many times im just gunna drop it in red this time to even it out a little". Thats fucking dumb and you guys dont understand math at all
If you cant understand how a RTP is calculated such that it doesnt have to swing to start paying out more often to "catch up" youre an idiot. Each spin is independent of the last. Say it with me. Each spin is independent of the last
martingale
Except when you get 20 wrong colors in sequence. Which will happen because God hates gamblers
