It's a valuable material and it will do well. But I think a lot of the crazy price action (where it hit $3000) was largely due to the industrial demand at the time. It has cooled off a ton. I think the money-qualities of money metals are what will be accounting for the biggest price action. Silver has not even come close to making a move yet in this regard. Would you rather have 1oz of Pd or 1KILO of silver. That should put the answer into perspective. I have a little bit of these different metals just for funsies and to have exposure to asymetric price action. But overall I think the best investment is still going to be silver. Even in the face of the seemingly endless price suppression, the fundamentals on silver remain astoundingly bullish.

People, and central banks, hold it to insure against the other party saying "fuck off, I have your money and you aren't getting it back".
