The problem commies have is that they think they are smarter than the market itself and put on production quotas that make no sense. This leads to scarcity and then it leads to price caps. Nothing can solve this paradigm which is why the USSR miserably failed.
Nowadays, socialism takes the form of the welfare state. The state bribes citizens with gibs and well paid bureaucracy jobs. The economy still functions because the state let's it run mostly free but it chips away at it with taxes and stupid regulations to justify those bureaucratic jobs.
It has been a really succesful socialism programme all considered but it's showing clear signs of weakness. Healthcare is getting too expensive due to regulations (medical licenses), social security is unsustainable and just a tax on work, the state runs at a deficit and just rolls over debt letting the next idiot deal with the increasing interest payments on it...
This is why we have a fertility crisis btw. The welfare state makes people think on the short term, we are literally creating a society run by idiots leeching off productive people. This dependency makes us less human. We stopped building families and comunities because any incident can be solved by government gibs.
Women can't think beyond their current year and realize at 35 that they actually want a family instead of being pumped and dumped by randoms 3 or 4 times a year. Men don't want to work hard just to get taxed and send the money to women and niggers.
The welfare state has to stop. Obviously there will be a generation that will be duped and will have generated a lot of tax revenue but will see nothing for it (mostly millenials and some gen x) but the can can't be kicked down the road any longer.
