If it goes under 220 again (and the S&P isn't in freefall), I'll pick up more shares. I'm fine being long for years until I see a return. I'm pretty confident that Tesla will be described as an AI robotics leader in 5 years rather than an auto manufacturer. Cars are just one of their robots, it's the software that makes them as useful as they are. No other company is working on, much less perfecting, a true end-to-end AI vision driving system. Yes Waymo and some Chinese companies incorporate partially into their self driving, more like a discreet service that serves the driving algorithm. This type of system cannot just be "upgraded" to end-to-end AI control some day, they must start from scratch, and Tesla has been perfecting end-to-end for along time, they are a generation ahead.
Cybercabs are going to be crazy cheap to the point where owning a car is optional. It's public transportation for the rural and suburban, where before you only got true mass transportation in dense cities. This is a huge deal, it's not just a cheaper uber, it will enable much more. Grandma can take one multiple times per day, to all her doctor's appointments and stores. It'll cost her maybe $3 for the day instead of $75 in ubers. It'll be truly freeing to people that can't drive themselves or can't afford a car.
