Trump's already cucking on it

Trump's already cucking on it.

file.jpg - 1440x1148, 438.82K

yeah no shit, Walmart and Amazon are dropping fucking 10%+ tomorrow if this fucking moron doesn't do anything

as expected

His chart didn't even make sense

this account is literally one of the worst left-wing bait accounts on twitter, everything they post is fake

what a retard...seriously embarrassing, just put him in a mental institution already

I'd respect this nigga more if he wore Joker makeup to capitalize how schizo he is

telegraphed for months

too quickly

it keeps happening

cycle.png - 986x961, 190.38K

oh no muh stock values

They were thinking "nah he's not gonna do it" and were playing chicken up until the last second. Then reality hit.

Reciprocal tariffs were priced in for months now, because they were telegraphed for months. What we got was not reciprocal tariffs. What we got was absolute fucking insanity.

Why should Trump care? He doesn't have to run for reelection again.

By getting...less than reciprocal tariffs?
Yeah that sounds insane haha

It's not less than reciprocal tariffs, it's tens to hundreds of times more than reciprocal tariffs. The numbers listed in the press conference are nothing more than complete fabrications with no basis in reality. South Korea has less than 1% tariff on US goods, not 50% -- just as an example.

so sick of this shit
either do it or dont
what a faggot

Swap the reverse and convincing people

100% of the tech stocks have stocks as collateral against loans and convertible redeemable bonds.

no. i live in sk right now. when i buy shit from usa, i pay like 25% import taxes

At this point it won’t matter if he goes back on it. People are spooked and are flocking to the exits

SAAAAR DO NOT REDEEM THE BOND
I am tech CEO benchod sir value company very highly, you will kindly HOLD this bond sar

You don't even know what that means retard

SAR benchod bloody bastard sar, I tell you do not redeem the bond. The par value of this bond is amortized at 8% with a default clause for underperformance of the collateral SAR you will not redeem the bond or we shall extract an exit fee from you BITCH SAR, YOU BLOODY BITCH

Import taxes are not the same thing as tariffs, holy shit.

Tariffs are a type if import tax, anon.

When you as a person buy something from the US and pay import tax that is not a tariff, is my point.

It's just symbolic but it does represent the first time republicans are going against him this time around.
And this is before any of the actual consequences of his retarded decisions start showing up in the economy outside of stocks.
Going to be interesting to see how things progress as the numbers start showing up

Yeah, you're right.

tariffs are a fee other countries pay to import into ours, not a tax. you have to go back

I guess most people didn't think he was dumb enough to enact a flat 10% tariff on the world + a lot more for 60 other countries

this, it's baffling
t. buyer from america

This was like one of his main policies during his campaign, and he's been saying this shit every day since getting into office.

tariffs are a fee other countries pay

5d6[1].jpg - 250x250, 10.44K

I think the whole tariff discourse is supremely retarded at the moment but in essence both should have the same impact on demand since tariffs get passed down to consumers, no? direct import tax might even be slightly better than tariffs since importers usually add margin to keep the added cost from diluting margin?
all the retards chiming in have totally made the word meaningless to me

No. Tariffs are usually per country/product, import tax is a flat rate that every product entering your market has to pay.
The 10% on every country regardless that the US adopted is more of a import tax rather than tariff.
The bottom line is tariffs are supposed to be used to protect certain industries on your country or certain products from just being entirely destroyed by external competition, import tax is just your government stealing your money because they are the government and they can.

Yes he's been saying that the US will take Canada and Greenland possibly by force since before Jan 20th too but most people still want to believe that he's joking, me included.

He said a lot of crazy shit in 2016 that he never did his first time around and people thought it would be like that again so they didn't take any of it seriously

By his own criteria that he has stated in the past he is an absolutely shit fucking president. He is a walking disaster.

He says a lot of shit and everyone deluded themselves into thinking Dems were fearmongering or he was trolling.

Turns out thinking everyone is just exaggerating the village idiot doesn't mean he's any less of an idiot.

Art of the deal.

I feel like we are seeing the start of the Republicans realizing who they have in charge and what he is trying to do. Dude can say one thing, but expressions say more than words.

000.jpg - 1280x854, 103.07K

Johnson is siding with the retard, anon. You forget that he was part of the Jan 6 plot.

SP500 -3%

Bitcoin -2%

Shouldn't bitcoin be already double digits in the red?

Fed will have to cut so BTC wins anyway. We'll be back at 100k by end of April.

everyone deluded themselves into thinking Dems were fearmongering

Two things can be true at the same time.
The fucking dems are the only reason Trump won.

He had tard wranglers the first time. Now he’s surrounded by nothing but yes men who indulge his every whim, no matter how retarded.

I genuinely think sellers are just exhausted. They're done. Hence the clear bullish divergence.

The numbers listed in the press conference are nothing more than complete fabrications with no basis in reality

they are not. not defending trump, but check

NOO MY CHINKSHIT IMPORTS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN LOCAL INDUSTRY AND AMERICAS WORKING CLASS FUTURE

STOP TRUMP WAAHHHHH

doing double takes with some of these lefty takes recently, they've abandoned previous held rational positions simply to oppose trump

being made up would unironically be better than being based on a retarded understanding of trading deficits

It's honestly just fucking amazing that they thought that poorer countries that specialize in cheap labor like Vietnam would have the buying power to ever make up that difference.
I really hope people go digging and find out the name of the exact retard who made that list.

major Trump donors and business leaders

*zion don's jewish masters

It's Lutnick, they've already been setting him up as the fall guy. Trump is equally retarded for going along with it though.

enjoy getting poorer while blaming everyone else but trump

You don't care about any of that because you're a fucking virgin trading shitcoins on line, you fucking loser. No, I don't care about the workers whose jobs aren't coming back anyway and who are going to get fucked with the rest of us. Fuck you.

I'd like that to be true, but this is just some literally who on twitter with no source given. Until I see this in the WSJ it's bullshit.

NOOOOOO RECREATING TOY-JOBS FOR 50 HILLBILIES IN MIDDLE OF NOWHERE FLYOVER STATE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN INCREASING THE DISPOSABLE INCOME OF THE POOR THAT ARE GOING TO BE FORCED TO BUY AT HIGHER PRICES AND USING OUR ECONOMIC ADVANTAGES EFFICIENTLY

Literal welfare for the unskilled.

why the fuck would they not ramp tariffs gradually? why are they just haphazardly throwing shit out there? it's so goddamn retarded

who pays this fee exactly?

That doesn't mean what you think it means, dipshit. This will affect the poorest among Americans, will lower investment and all around make all of our lives worse. You're playing yourself.

KWAB award

ah yes, bringing back manufacturing which has driven middle and lower class growth historically will hurt the lower class workers, brilliant analysis dumbfuck

bringing back manufacturing

It's not coming back. The labor cost in Mexico alone is about 10% of what it is in the US, not to mention that they already have institutional knowledge that the US now lacks. Other than strategic industries, doing this kind of shit is a bad idea that has no benefits unless you like seeing cash burn.

idiot boy, waste of dubs, just fuckin die

my understanding is that the purpose of tariffs are to onshore labor. i.e. force investors to cut costs by building factories in the US instead of Vietnam. so it doesn't matter whether Vietnam pays the difference or not.

Well and truly priced in for weeks.

idiot boy

calm down Rajeesh

jobs are already coming back, even under Biden. this isnt some pipe dream

this fag not only doesn't understand basic economics but parrots a meme understanding of a study he hasn't read

Classic poltard.

my understanding is that the purpose of tariffs are to onshore labor. i.e. force investors to cut costs by building factories in the US instead of Vietnam

Yeah and that might happen 100 years from now at earliest. Don will be out in 4 years or less, and every single thing he has ever done will be reverted while he's executed as a traitor to the nation.

The thing is that this will have a long term effect on America even after Trump is out because every country is probably reevaluating if they should put all their eggs in the America basket and if they should start diversifying their trade.

Yes, let's diversify trade to Africa

Kek

This Mike is just a Bitcoin shill so why did OP bother to take a screenshot of his tweet?

Trump doing the needful and disintegrating the American Empire to help the American people.

Or he's just a tard. Wonder which one is more likely.

I was optimistic about tariffs initially. They could be part of a broader industrial policy and economic reform. However, they would need to be targeted and part of a broader industrial policy and not based on trade deficits, rofl.

let’s say that magically every factory moves back to the us and start opening factory jobs and pay a leviable weight. the prices of everything are going to go up, which is not bat per se, but an oven for example is going from 500$ to a minimum of 2000$, basically the entire mentality of consumerism will have to change, because we will need to se everything as an investment, you want a TV? well you better start to save money for 6 months to buy.

Its not Something bad per se, but people need to understand that they will not be able to be as frugal as they’re now.

Tariffs with no ramps before hand

Yeah, Trump is trying to create an entirely new desperate class that can be sent to die in the middle east.

anon, you made me sad, so I'll explain this shit to you, even though I'm no expert on economics or tariffs

when you produce or sell shit, you have basic costs: labor, transport, materials. the sum of those (and whatever other shit you need to produce something) are your costs. when you want to sell that, you calculate those and add, say, 100% of that number, so you get 200%. add (or, rather, multiply that number for) whatever taxes you have to pay and, bang, you have your price.
now, think about it: what happens if your taxes go up AND the taxes for your materials go up? you have to raise prices... otherwise you are making less money on those products, potentially losing money even.

so, you think: ok, maybe it's time to produce locally instead of buying from china! (or vietnam, cambodia, or whatever), right?
well, labor costs in china are like 1/3 or less of what you'd pay a worker in the US. cambodia? most probably a tiny fraction of that. what happens to your profits? do the math... and tell us: is it really convenient to, say, build a t-shirt factory in the US to replace cambodian t-shirt factories?

do you even know how much those cambodian t-shirt COST to produce? do you think US companies can compete with that?

jobs are already coming back,

They're not. Manufacturing in the US is more complex than that of these countries. The jobs they might lose over there are not coming back because demand for those things at American prices will not go up. You're not about to pay $50k for a base Honda Civic. For that money, you might as well get a big car, but what that means is that people who can buy these things will buy the nice stuff, and people that can't simply won't, and will settle fore used assets that will also inflate in price. You're just burning money.

I mean they removed all the illegal immigration from California and instead of start paying a liveable weight they are looking for a way to reduce child labor laws kek

He's just put 20 k american auto workers out of a job today alone

I mean Florida,fuck

Good they should be making t-shirts and calculators instead

That's right anon. We can't have them beaners here doing shit when we can have your kids working during school nights.

maybe they should get someone who actually has a degree in economics to talk about it instead of looking like fucking morons by using the trade ratio as if it was a tariff.

I was hoping this was the plan. However, it requires a general economic reform that seems extremely unlikely to come from Trump in particular and the USG in general. And it would require Trump to deliver a coherent philosophical and geopolitical argument, that he is completely incapable of articulating. Say what you want about Clinton or Obama or Reagan, but they could at least make the pitch.

The reality is that jacking up prices on circuses (iPhones, cheap luxury junk) is only going to make the problems with bread (real estate, education, medicine) worse.

You can see that in the way Pro-TDS people are commenting on this: don't think about the economics, or the foreign policy. Trump made trannyism ILLEGAL. Focus on the ephemeral social issue that 41%'s themselves. Don't think about the fundamentals of how society works.

What's his foreign policy going to do to energy prices?

but an oven for example is going from 500$ to a minimum of 2000$

No, they're just gonna automate the factories more since they can't just throw a billion peasant chinks at it and pay them 5 cents an hour.

Cheap labor stands in the way of industrial advancement, remove cheap labor and replace with some of the best engineers on the planet and watch the beauty of the White mind in bloom.

No one wants to be an engineer anymore, they just want to be youtubers

best engineers on the planet

OK, but who do Musk and Trump think are the best engineers on the planet?

Musk literally sperged out in a k-hole about how white americans are garbage and must be completely replaced by H1B Indians. Trump backed him up.

musk literally wants our entire tech sector to be run by street shitters

because engineering demand (besides software engineering) has been stolen from the American people by the same economic forces described prior.

Trump nor Musk have said anything about Indians being the best engineers. They're just cheap.

Bitcoin is open 24/7 retard, compare against the etfs. Still holding up relatively well all things considered.

nor Musk have said anything about Indians being the best engineers

anon, I...

No, because being an engineer is hard. It also requires brain power most don't have.

So why do so many come out of India

India is literally diploma mill the country. You can become anything in India with no effort as long as you have the money.

Ok but why do they know what they're doing?

because you don't have to be very smart if you co-caste members are looking to capture the organization.

negro thinks most industries have the capital or opportunity-cost will to robotize their production when the return on investment would only turn positive years from now

Lol, lmao even; enjoy your $2k oven.

This is just bullshit posts on x with no sources.

They don't, have you ever worked with an indian engineer? Trick question, I know you're brown.

My final cope is business interests won't allow this psycho to destroy the entire world economy because they care more about money than partisan politics.
