There is zero bid on alts. There is institutional accumulation of BTC, and occasional accumulation of ETH through ETFs, while it dumps, but literally nobody is lining up to buy alt coins in 2025.

in other word, there's no alt season and everyone waiting is just being delusional.

we need new cash to be deployed. it use to come from airdrops like ARB, dydx, and others. but not any more. until some new cash floods the market, there will be no alt season.

The whole meta is so broken that retail isn't going to come back to get scammed again with down-only bullshit, high float low fdv garbage, and "more infrastructure".
All the current narratives are dead. And deservedly so.
The only things that actually work (AAVE, etc) are "boring last cycle tech" which might pump on institutional adoption, but not enough to make retail flood back.
The only glimmer of light on the horizon is stuff like Sonar, which aims to recreate ICO fundraising again. Until:
1) Retail can actually get in meaningfully early again
2) Builders can make shit that is actually obviously good, and
3) Early buyers can be up 10x and still actually believe in a project (memecoins imitate this belief, but it's completely fake)
then nothing will happen with alts.
