I'll admit I made some good money (for me) earlier in the year just by shorting shitcoins, but when there is a really bad squeeze like today's with QBTS or in crypto the MOODENG squeeze, the shorted stock or coin will go up waaaaay more than the overall market to the point that you would have a ridiculous amount of leverage on the longs to compensate, at which point they would become just as or more risky than the short itself.
