tell me you know nothing about how lightning works without telling me
Yeah, sure, great tech. Try hosting a node sometime.
coinjoin is amazing secure and private
Nuh uh. Chainalysis doesn't complain about coinjoin - makes you wonder, doesn't it?
Also, contrary to monero, there are multiple coinjoin providers - pick the wrong one, and you risk getting fucked. It is centralized by design.
If I want to move $10k I'll take the 40 cent hit in fees, confident that unlike Monero, Bitcoin is actually secure
This is just your own bias.
Doesn't Monero have a 10 minute lockout as well
2 minutes per block.
Plus security is so low you have to wait days for any significant amount of cash to securely settle
What? Nonsense.
Lmao, only 20TB. 20TB of SSDs no less since Monero can't function on a HDD. I'll just get all my friends to whip out their storage servers so your network stays decentralized
Are you really going to complain about storage requirements in 2025? This is just a stupid argument. But yeah, okay, I guess your friends all have asic-based mining farms for btc - these are much easier and cheaper to get, right.
If gold mining was suddenly dominated by a company that could mine gold for free, the value of gold would crater. For PoW security comes from the economic resources being used up to create new blocks.
You have machines doing computation anyway. How's that free? By that logic, anyone who participates in a btc mining pool might be seen as a bot in a botnet, and therefore btc is not secure.
