Filter out resumes of everyone that isn't a black gay Muslim transgender woman
wtf why are all of these interviewees the dregs of society that I have no desire to converse with?
not good at interviewing = i gave them a leetcode hard take-home assignment and they refused
Yes. The H1Bs are just as clueless but get hired anyway because they'll work unpaid overtime.
At some point violence is going to break out over the inability and/or unwillingness of any western government to get immigration under control. The thing about hitting that breaking point is that once it starts, it's impossible to contain, no matter how big the country's police force or military are. It eventually burns itself out but not before many people pay the price. The real scary part is that the tipping point usually hits without warning so there's no time to escape.
The real mystery is why western governments are so intent on blocking off every pressure relief valve. Good leaders understand how to do this, to ease change over time, but in the modern west, they seem intent on making conflict inevitable.
do u think i care what Ikhbug has to say? in regards to meta no less.
Expecting to get the job because they are citizens
Literally yes. It shouldn't be our problem your countries are so broken that you can't get a job there
sounds like the industry has to go back to doing training lol

Because American hegemony is still largely dominant in the Western world, and American politics are fundamentally about bending over backwards for the private sector. Thirdies are profitable and long term consequences are meaningless to people who can simply abandon ship and diddle kids in foreign countries for the rest of their lives.
In fact, conflict can be helpful to this end. Americans believe unionization is heckin islamic gommunism and cultural friction is one of the best ways to prevent it.
Yes.
Is this true?
not just an american problem, and is frightening to realize it's not confined to one country. many years ago i watched some video a guy i know posted on his social media, was put in charge of finding recruits for programming jobs and managing various bits of expensive infrastructure, he would ask them basic things like:
do you know any assembly languages?
do you know how binary works?
can you use a debugger?
can you adapt to <cpu model> you're unfamiliar with if we gave you a manual and tools?
etc.
these questions acted like a filter. this dude i knew was kinda saddened by this, since his generation were basically forced to use assemblers to do anything creative and learn how a computer works.
/Thread
i am trying to test your programming skills, not your google-search skills
This is how I know this bitch/faggot has never coded professionaly in his/her fucking life.
googling/reading documentation is PART of programming.
Just write the fucking for loop
this nigger has his finger on the pulse.
Bro, it has nothing, and I mean NOTHING to do with the fact that USAID will reimburse you 70% of all H1b workers' salaries. Nothing at all. Does not factor into the equation. Get that out of your head right now.
Not the point of the exercise. You use recipes when cooking, but you shouldn't need one to know how to boil water.
The funniest thing about this whole immigration thing is that it is yet to work any where besides a few small pockets. Small upside with a potentially tragic fallout
Do I want to make actual products and learn CS fundamentals like networking, operating systems, multi-threading, distributed systems, etc. or do I want to be able to write a dynamic programming recursive path finding algorithm by memory in 30 minutes for an interview when I could import a library to do it.
I just don't believe this shit is real man
it isn't
Not wrong, but the pressure relief valve is politics, like trump. People vote for him because he is marketed as anti-immigration. Then the second step is to fracture the resistance.
People always say they have interviewers failing fizzbuzz. Are they hiring people with no formal CS training whatsoever? You would never see anything like this from anyone with a CS minor, AS CS or BS CS. What's even the point to lying about these things?
I and most people I know get fucking insane leetcode mediums/hards that you wouldn't know how to do off the top of your head unless you review DSA regularly and specifically do leetcode. People are not asking these questions irl, and people are not failing them irl unless you're interviewing "self taught" devs.
You should be able to figure out how to find the odd numbers from 0 to 100 with the tools available to you even if you never encountered that problem before.
Same with fizzbuzz shit.
Yeah, of course, if you fail this you are fucking retarded. The interview questions I'm getting at some places are write an optimized graph algorithm question with a twist in 30-60 minutes, or about huffman coding.
There is no jewish conspiracy. H1B workers "win" because we can treat them as slaves and pay them minimum wage and they have to deal with it for 5 years before the green card
Yeah I agree with you on that, there's tons of bullshit interview questions like that in any profession.
We must accelerate it.
take your accelerationist shit back to
Request denied.
not sure why anyone ever thought H1B wouldn't be exploitative when they cannot remain in the country if they don't stay employed
while i can think of a laundry list of complaiints with us citizens, this sounds like indian cope to me 100%. as usual pajeets have no real understanding of even the general flaws and cons of their opponents, they just do what the jews do, make up a story and try to make it stick. but unlike a jew who doesnt roll around in literal shit all day their arguements can be smelled from a block away by how putrid and grasping they are.
here are some actual downsides to burger interviews: most competent people do not want you to know that they are competent. they want to appear good enough at the job to get the job but they are terrified that they are going to be the scape goat for corporate meddling and embezelment. basically we're talking the utter state of black pilll. jeets dont have that, they just keeps scurrying and rolling dung like they dont know anythiing else. sometimes enduring horrible treatment. western people have constant threats to their livelyhood so they wont play any kind of ball and wont take a challace that could be poisoned. that includes stuff like clear commits, easy to read code, tracable work history, anything really that makes them voulnerable is thrown into a trash heap. they will plead ignorance because it protects them. Largely i think a lot of these problems would go away if women were taken out of the hiring process entirely desu. unless the only hiring manager is some other form of degenerate like indian or jew who wont hire based on the job qualifications.
the government isn't a leader, theyre the suicide brigade at the end of the army that stays behind while the main army (jews) escapes. they stay there specifically to delay you and prevent you from routing the escapees. this is the same shit as ukraine, look into that scenario, everyone important left, then the leaders iimmediately got the country embroiled in a war and chaos. no retaliation against the actual aggressors was possible.
Make a standard deck of cards. Shuffle the deck, and draw two cards at random. Display the two cards.
How would (You) do this?
I don't think that many people will agree that it's essential to be able to write assembly in order to be a programmer.
well that's meta's employee profile
go work for the asians lmao
Have you ever been interviewed by Asians, or worse Jeets?
lol
lmao even
Just randomly pick suit (1 - 4) and card (2 - 14)
repeat 2 times
What if you end up picking the same card twice?
What if you end up picking the same card twice?
thats the hard part
Trump is a retard who will make things worse.
He doesnt even want to fix immigration problems.
Jeets could be the smartest people on the planet (they're not even close) and justifiably 99% of white Americans still wouldn't want them here. Just stay in India little bro.
This. The moment you get a jeet notices someone isn't a fellow jeet, they will do their best to screw over the person within the interview process.
Man, this thread only proves that the guy is right.
Just look at how faggots ITT cope:
it's foreigners/indians/H1Bs
I'm not supposed to memorize <some completely unrelated shit>
I didn't study CS for any of that shit!
The guy is saying he asks candidates about stack vs heap and debuggers, and retards ITT came up with completely unrelated shit to justify their own incompetence and entitlement
Are these the American retards that Trump thinks can build factories to replace China?
If so, you guys are fucked LMAO
1. Start with an array of numbers 1-60 in order. Each of these numbers represents a card.
2. Define a random number cut between maxcut and mincut (let's say between 10 and 50 for the purpose of this example)
3. Split the array into two from [0...cut] and [cut+1...59]
4. Define a new array post_shuffle with size 60
5. While there are cards remaining in both split arrays, define a random number in {0,1}. If the result is 0, put a card from the first array into the next available index in post_shuffle, if the result is 1, put a card from second array into post_shuffle
6. When one of the split arrays runs out of cards, put the rest of the other into post_shuffle in order
7. Repeat steps 1-6 on post_shuffle
8. Repat steps 1-7 num_shuffles times
Absolutely nobody asks stack vs heap questions in interviews. The only thing that gets asked is leetcode hards.
In fact nobody qualified even gets to the interview stage at all which shows there is some nigger filter happening thus only the unqualified are getting interviews.
And here's the kicker (based on real life experience): the jeet complaining doesn't even know the difference between stack and heap and is failing applicants who answer correctly, I guarantee it. He probably wants to hear shit like 'stack grows down and has limited size while heap grows up and has random access', which is totally wrong. Give a too complete answer that disambiguate memory management from data structures and compares a few hardware archs? Failed because you 'have excellent knowledge and trchnical skills but are not a culture fit'
two string arrays, randomizer function, nested loops
It's not that hard
Looking at the thread,it's even worse... Americans are literally doing the same shit as the retards ITT.
Then, when told that Meta "only asks leetcodes on a text editor", the guy says
Well you can ask them follow ups in system design interview if they know what can break in this design, where would you put a breakpoint, etc. They asked what's a breakpoint, I said I just mean breakpoint as part of a debugger, if you had to take a closer look.
"Sorry, never worked with debuggers and breakpoints before"
Bro what
What in the actual fuck. People want to get paid $100k++ but have never used a fucking debugger in their lives...
Are these really the elite of American programmers? If so, no wonder we get these pretentious functional programming threads all the time with retards masturbating over language abstractions
Your whole fucking post is a big ass cope. Read it yourself. You are making shit up in your mind to justify incompetence.
Hell, I'd guess your post borders mental illness.
"The author is a Jeet", "(based on real life experience)" - you don't know that, you (and other faggots ITT) are assuming random shit without evidence.
"nobody asks stack vs heap questions in interviews" - so what? THAT'S BASIC TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE. No wonder programs are inefficient as shit these days.
"wants to hear shit like 'stack grows down and has limited size while heap grows up and has random access", "not a culture fit" again, more made up shit and assumptions. Pure cope.
Do they not teach science and basic logic in US schools??? How the fuck are people like this supposed to build highly technical and specialized software for high tech factories?
Again, this only proves the guy right.
While these retards gave some answers, I don't think I've ever once used modulo or had to find an odd/even number in my professional work (full stack)
I know it's a classic intro to programming challenge that introduces syntax and the concept of using a loop but outside of learning it once or twice in classes I haven't seen it used
Calm your tits, pajeet, you'll shit yourself before you hit the designated street
No, obviously a jeet wrote this. H1B workers don't understand the underlying meaning of the English keyword they program with.
funny. i work unpaid overtime, but the H1B visas start actually working an hour late and clock out right at 5pm. They also so 50% less work. I'm still trying to understand why they were hired.
Modulo is frequently used to do things like js-based alternative layouting but I guess it's true you webtards don't evrn do that much nowadays. Are you sure the average monkey can't replace you yet?
Interviewed one of you lot with >10 years exp at serious companies for a non-web dev role. I asked a simple question that needed a rotary array. Guy almost had an aneurysm trying to figure it out, he knew it was related to modulo somehow but that was it. Failed him of course.
Test.
They were hired because there is at least exactly one jeet in your org. That's how those poople work: let one in and the entire country joins your company as you and your colleagues get fired.
Keep coping lmao.
I'm not even a dev by trade and I've used debuggers many times in my fucking life.
I haven't used $basic_feature, therefore it's ok
The funny thing is that the pic has nothing to do with US programmers.
I also proves that you are a bunch of newfags. Don't ask me how, figure it out yourselves.
my company over the past couple years has gotten a bunch of indian managers in higher up positions and people from meta setting our interview policies
our interview process before
interview with the engineering manager of the team you will be getting hired in just talking about your experience and the tech
interview with a prinicple and senior engineer who work on what you will be about your experience and the tech
that was it
now after we got indians
6 stage interview with 14 interviewers with leet code, systems design and product design aspects where you are being interviewed by people who have nothing to do with the actual job and everyone has to fill out in depth review forms of how the interview went because they want to be "objective". everyone is expected to know about everything and you are basically just tested for "are you good at interviews" rather than anything related to what you'll actually be working on at all
the people who have gotten hired after this all fucking suck, like shockingly bad. it's not just indians either. people who are good at interviews like the meta people like are bad at actually doing anything.
what the guy in this post is looking for actually has nothing to do with being good at or doing anything, it's just testing how much time you are willing to waste
like as an example what a "debugger" is and how it's useful is very different for web vs other tech. I'd bet a guy who has only coded java 15 years ago was interviewing a webdev who will just be working on javascript stuff, stuff the interviewer has never used and doesn't understand at all.
this is the price you pay of following reddit advice: coworkers aren't your friends, don't shit where you eat, I don't do work events and no office politics for me.
Keep doing the coping saar i poo in street not in code
It was obvious you knew less than nothing about tech work or tech hiring to anyone reading your impotent shart-powered seething, pajeet. No need to waste your 2 braincells specifying.
Using a debugger in a multi process multi threaded environment is also almost an anachronism.
JFC...
This shit is so funny. Guess I'll take advantage of this shit for as long as possible
The hack of Anon Babble really gave me some perspectives...
America is fucked kek. Should have been obvious the moment these retards elected a corrupt TV star from New York whose money came from his corrupt daddy and thinks the globalization that made Americans richer than every other country in the world is bad kek
Seethe more. I'm European, btw
import random as r
cards = [str(n) for n in range(2,11)] +["J", "Q", "K", "A"] # 2 to 10 + Joker, Queen, King, Ace
suits = ["C", "D", "H", "S"] # clubs, diamonds, hearts, spades
deck =[card + suit for card in cards for suit in suits]
r.shuffle(deck)
card1 = deck.pop()
card2 = deck.pop()
print("first card: " + card1)
print("second card: " + card2)
hard
implying
You can do the retarded solution of retrying in a while loop until the two cards are different. That would give a worst case scenario runtime of... infinity.
> can you use a debugger?
I keep seeing this mentioned but I've never needed to use a debugger. Adding print statements when something breaks has been enough for me to get by.
Are debuggers really that much better?
in c, c++ and lisp, debuggers are extremely powerful, but in all other languages they are so shit that print debugging is pareto optimal. Whwn they're powerful, you can do things like connect to a running process (even over a network) to examine the state and even test live fixes (in lisp). In other languages it's just less convenient fancy prints.
You will when you work in an actual codebase and not your silly challenge project.
maybe last century gramps. Nobody does this in this brave new python powered kubernetshitted world. t. principal engineer at M$
its literally just people who use
(or more realistically, learned this shit in college and never really used it because they went into management)
this shit and can't understand other things exist. same kind of people who try to force Javascript to have classes because it's more familiar and they just want things to be the same even though they don't make sense
Sometimes, other times you look the logs (fancy print statements)
I have never gotten a job that wasn't because my family already worked there.

Juck fannies.
I have been using modulo before even getting a job. Sure, it's not a commonly used language feature, but it's incredibly useful. Weirdly enough, it's one of those litmus tests in coding. I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've seen inexperienced programmers be completely oblivious to the concept of a modulo operator. Conversely, I have never seen an experienced programmer be unaware of the modulo operator.
Debuggers let you walk through the code step by step and inspect the value of every variable. Print statements are a massive hassle after a point, but doable on a smaller scale. This is why the use of debuggers distinguishes hobby coders from professionals. Not to say that you want to use debuggers every single time, using print statements once in a while is still valid. After all logs are literally print statements.
for (let i = 1; i <= 100; i += 2) {
console.log(i);

at least the jeets can see the thread now
Been waiting since the 70's for this, the exact thing was said back then, each generation has their own form of it, and 50 odd years later this "great uprising" has yet to materialise.
(Hint: It's not coming)
discussion about technical stuff only brings arguments about H1Bs in Anon Babble
Anon Babbletards have no clue how to use fucking debuggers
technical interviews are a Anon Babble topic now and not tech according to Anon Babble jannies

I think it's a great time to leave Anon Babble...
Doubt this would be accepted in an interview even if it produces the correct results.
Or maybe it would but you are betting on the mood of the interviewer.
Just check if an integer is divisible by 2 and print if it isn't.
/thread
You don't typically use a debugger for its ability to walk the code, but for its ability to stop around the offending segment in the code. The walking is just a way to locate the right spot. But also if your debugger can't attach to an uninstrumented running process, it's generally pretty useless at that because running with a debugger on from the start is slow as fuck and, in real codebases doing real work, prohibitive. This is why fancy prints (logs or actual prints) are pareto optimal (meaning the effort to result ratio cannot be beat).
I was just being a bit cheeky. But it does accomplish what they're asking for. If they want you to know what modulus does just ask. Can literally answer in one sentence.
it's true, I spent too much time watching boy meets world
