The simple fact is that real GME cultists, the alleged "manipulators" don't purchase through methods that impact the stock price. DRS has an undetermined purchase time.

The idea that GME cultists manipulated the market when DFV did a surprise livestream is absurd. His die hard fans would believe in DRS. Computershare is who decides their purchase timing, not the DRS cultists.

Many people are implying DFV is manipulating the market, but there would be proof. In modern stock market times there are records on records with backups on backups.

Those talking about the off topic stock are most likely doing so because they have data that shows those who bought the off topic stock did so in a way that can be linked to specific Reddit posts or posts here saying “let’s buy the stock of this soon to be bankrupt company because there are a lot of shorts against it, and we can collude to cause a short squeeze”.
I feel confident than because they don’t have a manipulation angle to play on GameStop for a plethora of reasons, mostly that the shorts were incorrect the company was going bankrupt, and people who buy the stock genuinely believed the company was going to turn around. DFV always stressed this. Sure there were shorts but that wasn’t why he was buying. He (and we) were buying because we genuinely believed the short thesis to be incorrect.
