That math doesn't work, on average a supervisor looks over 10 to 20 employees on a factory floor. The 'white collar' side of production companies is usually 10% or less of the personnel. Even if we massively skewed it to 70/30, only 30 percent of the employed would be white, and 70 brown. You're arguing for importing more people as workers.

This balloons further once you increase costs across the rest of the value chain. You're looking at a minimum x7 cost in material extraction, refinement, basic component production, complex component production, assembly and QA. Even if we completely removed income tax, assuming you're at the highest bracket, that's a 37% increase in your income. Less if you're lower down the chain.
That will not make up for the increased costs of goods. It's not just iphones, because after all the stated goal here is to make every single consumer good here.

So, even if these jobs somehow became extremely well remunerated, I ask, what do we do in the 5 to 10 years it would take to re-start American production?
And as a follow-up, what ensures anyone willing to invest the capital required to build these things that the following administration, or even Trump in two years won't change their mind and thus nuke the capital investment?
