The reason this is so stupid and dangerous to trust is because there were legitimately multiple rate cuts on the agenda. Trump didn’t have to actually do anything and rates would have come down naturally. The market dropping could spike unemployment and maybe the Fed will decide to really drop rates, but then you have an inflation problem again which was almost under control. The whole thing is baffling and this seems more likely to be people just coping and rationalizing what the fuck he’s actually doing.
