the theoretical benefit is that US jobs pay more which incentivizes ambition and meritocracy which organically attracts people who fit that criteria from a wide range of ethnicities and backgrounds, but then DEI fucks up the whole equation because the natural outcome of the system didn't perfectly align with the idea that every single cultural and genetic demographic is completely equal in being able to do every job equally so they need to balance out all the equation by hiring less 22 year old white guys to offset the amount 65 year old white guys
