When the hell have young Americans been confident in the economy? Everyone who can reasonably be described as a "young American" has spent their entire adult life in the post-08 recession world. I have never known a time when the general sentiment surrounding the economy was not "we're getting fucked, things are slowly getting worse" except for maybe a brief period in 2019 when things appeared slightly more manageable.
