What are all those tariffs going to do to the economy?
What are all those tariffs going to do to the economy?
Why didn't Fred Flintstone just run to work instead of carrying his car with him
why your mother didnt aborted you?
The car offers a 200% run speed buff
Nothing to my buttcoin
48% of americans already pay $0 in federal income tax.
wouldnt it spike inflation?
Nothing, you will just pay more for the same products.
We can't on-shore because Americans are obese retarded gay slobs who couldn't survive an 8 hour factory shift.
i worked in an american factory for 3 years. most of the workers were obese retarded gay slobs.
Yeah, I know.
Did you think I was just joking or something?
That really is how Americans are.
There's a reason they are in freefall in the first place.
soon our economy will recover. don't worry about America. go back to wherever you are from and continue being poor.
go back to wherever you are from
You're the minority, idiot.
bring jobs back to the USA. companies will make shit in the US or they wont profit from shipping their goods here. simple
No because he is also drilling like mad so energy costs around the world will plummet, making manufacture and transport of goods far cheaper than it is. Unless he hikes tariffs to retard levels of course.
Enable subtitles to hear someone smarter than you explain why this whole thing is retarded:
tariffs raise prices
everything goes up
muh inflation
fed raises rates
stagflation enters the chat
>say it with me: every repuke president brings recession
hurr hear what this other guy has to say because im not smart enough to explain it
Youre a robot lmao. Maybe try having your own opinion. You aint swaying my vote.
Tariffs are levied on the American companies that import foreign goods and sell them domestically and the costs are passed on to consumers. Realistically I would expect that imports would sharply decline because the American companies that import that stuff would see drastically reduced sales which in turn would cause foreign companies to export less to the USA; the overall tax revenue from tariffs would end up declining so the entire scheme would be a net negative compared to before. On the flip side you should also expect China and Europe to levy tariffs of their own against the USA so American exporters will also suffer because that's where other economies will hit the USA the hardest. This could create some jobs in the long run but the overall economic damage just isn't worth it and domestic companies might even raise prices to match the imported goods because they can get away with it, thus exacerbating cost of living.
Fuck us over like you wouldn't believe. They're only digging us into a deeper hole
Grenade it.
The CCP has subsidized nearly-profitless manufacturing and logistics in China the past 40 years in order to seize the means of production. Chinese factories are so far ahead of everywhere else on earth, it's not even close. Even when production happens in other countries, it's largely just assembly and finishing of Chinese components. So much of America's economy is just reselling, repackaging and moving Chinese goods.
The US would have to entirely shift away from non-productive, passive means of wealth accumulation by bombing the financial and real estate market and pushing all investment into business operation by creating subsidizes for manufacturing plants to operate at losses for decades in tandem with tariffs. I don't see that happening unless the US enters a war-time economy.
As a response to the tariffs, the Chinese navy is going to blockade Taiwan in a show of global strength and the US will respond with sanctions which will result in civil unrest and lawlessness within the nation due to scarcity and profiteering in a low-trust neo-capitalist society. Imagine the toliet paper during covid shitshow x100. America will fold onto itself along racial lines as economic inequality fuels tribalism whilst China and Russia create order and endure as a people.
America is running a meme economy. Turns out that during times of global unrest, Chang in Shenzhen with 30 years of plastic injection molding experience making 30k a year is more valuable than Becky who works in HR at a tech company in Los Angeles making 100k a year.
kike jannies deleted my post explaining that the biden regime is already using the Trump tariffs
Janitor deleted my post too, it was perfectly on-topic and answered OP’s tariff question. Butthurt tranny janny is abusing his powers, you can see all the deleted posts on the archive. Where’s the complaint form?

all costs associated with the tarrifs will be passed on to the consoomer.
Nothing.
As a serious American Patriot i have to ask: when is the "cheap Chinese plastic" meme going to die?
They have superb manufacturing of high quality goods that are desirable around the world. Doesn't matter if they stole the technology and use slave labor. They are doing it, and lets stop deluding ourselves that they won't end up like Japan in many aspects of engineering and production.
I work in a factory in America. There's literally no difference in our quality vs Chinese quality. We don't put out high quality stuff. It's mediocre. Just like most Chinese products are mediocre.
trump puts 100% Tarif on something
it costs 100% more
Retard
can't coast on legs

im pretty sure tariffs just fuck foreign producers (specifically china in this case). this can create a situation where you pay more for domestically produced stuff (but also protect domestic jobs). it may also prompt domestic producers to seek other cost cutting methods to offset the lost demand from the increased prices.
pretty sure they are simply just producing to specification. and most the shit they produce doesnt exactly require a lot of skill to do that.
Probably won't bring manufacturing to the states companies might keep rotating out of China, countries like Vietnam or even Mexico which is more ideal than China. There's hurdles besides just American wages, regulations being the biggest culprit. I like his proposal that companies who produce goods in America pay far less taxes I'm not sure if that's possible though, should be US 15%, China/Brics 35% everywhere else 25%
it's going to be a fun throwback to the 1930's and the Smoot-Hawley tariff act. I can't wait for the mother of all recessions!
