It’s because they aren’t building anything new retard. This “crisis” could be easily solved

how? wouldn't being married mean dual income meaning can afford more meaning sellers can jack the price up?

They are building but not fast enough to offset the rising number of single households.

No, being married means atleast 2 people live under the same roof instead of just 1.

true. where does rampant immigration fit into this? in straya, most single cunts can't afford to buy most places, it is the immigrants and foreign investors who are eating up all the supply, not the spinsters and bachelors.

About 1/3 of Millenials will never marry.

About 2/3 of Zoomers will never marry.

Actually the cost of materials + regulatory approval exceeds the value of a home. Got plenty of empty plots down the road from me and it's taken 3 years to build 2 houses.

Immigration is so miniscule it’s mostly a red-herring in most cases and actually results in lower property prices due to creating undesirable living environments. Straya is different because you got a fuckton of rich chinks buying the actual liveable properties from you.

Grim

Doesn't make sense.
Either they all have a room-mate or a single salary of more than 50% of the population can afford the cost of a single home to themselves.

You have just pointed out one of the supply and demand metrics that changes the number. It is not the reason for the number.

It’s undoubtedly a huge factor because it also implies there are numerous households with only a single tenant. This was far less common before where a whole family would live in a single household.

It doesn't imply anything. You're just guessing based on number go up.

Take a look around. Who is living on their own? Go survey 100 people and ask them what their salary is.

Not married doesn't necessarily mean not in a long term relationship. Legal marriage is honestly detrimental.

It does tend to mean childless though

Who is living on their own?

My entire family is living on their own, some divorced, some just unmarried. Although we are a bunch of freaks

Touch grass unironically.

and the data for the last 13 years?

posting a video from a literal socialist

BIG OOF

it's only unaffordable if you're a poofag that hasn't invested their time into a useful career or a rentoid. I was able to buy my first home (a duplex) at 27 by just having a useful job and staying with my parents my whole life.
Sure, certain areas are a bit of out reach for the average person, but the main driving force of not being able to buy a home is lack of salary and rentoid mentality (aka "i wanna be independent and move out at 18 and keep buying weed and vidya"... or any other hobby where you constantly buy shit like new cars)

most people would be able to have a home if they were willing to not be in cities if they're incapable or unwilling to improve their salary. Quit coping and actually apply yourself instead of complaining.

What's it like buying a house in a hyperinflationary situation? I hear stories in Lebanon and Sri Lanka that grocery prices aren't fixed and change as you walk through the store. But I never hear of what it's like to hunt for a house in that scenario. How many people show up to a house viewing and by how much has the price increased by the time the viewing is over. I'm guessing everything goes to auction to maximize vendor profits and you need to have cash/gold in hand to succeed. But imagine having that much cash or gold in person in a place like Lebanon? You would need bodyguards.

Anyone with insights I would love to hear some stories

Europe always had a better solution than that, don't move out until you're married or can afford your own place.

data stops at 2011

lmfao

and what happened in the 60's to lead to an ever growing crowd of 40 year olds not marrying...
society is improving thanks to liberalism, right?

almost every 30+ woman has kids

cope.

i rather not be annoyed to death.

We've been bombarded with nothing but horror stories about how much alimony guys have to pay after divorce. Also our generation of women cant cook clean or keep a house worth a fuck, so its not even a good roi on that front. Guys our age have said fuck that noise and checked out of the marriage pyramid scheme.

and all of them get their delectable pussies ate and they coom so hard. they all love their lives, and they cup their titties in the mirror while strutting their bubble butts to the side while pouting their lips. wow! the life of a woman!

You guys complain about every video posted here because you're too fat dumb and lazy to even watch it.
Capitalists should be hung by their ballsacks. Kill yourself.

no they drive back and forth to day care and watch shitty tv and complain about their baby daddies and have $0 in their bank account, its not a sexy life at all. But its reality

no. they spread their scrumptious vagene's for gigachads who wield the tongue's like samurai's do the katana. they have dance parties with their girlfriend and bounce their fun titties to the best top 40 songs

full blown 3 bedroom 2 bath houses

My first immediate thought was "why the fuck would a single person have a 3bed2bath house?" and then I realized that I am a single person with a 3bed2bath house; one is an other, and the other is my plant room. lol

one is an other

*office

yeah modern 3 bed is tiny since theres no extra rooms at all usually. Youre lucky if you even get a crawlspace. Ive got a 5bed 2bath by myself and it doesnt feel big

The only solution I see is deregulation. Many such cases. Too bad it will never happen because the US regime is either incompetent or self serving.

No it isn’t. In the western world 2024 maybe, but a legal document has been used for centuries as a way to incentivize actually working through issues and sticking together, promoting familial stability and overall contentment.
What happens now is people go through issues or get bored, break up instead of working on it, fuck a few other people, realize they miss the comfort of being with the person they were with for 5+ years, but they’ve already put a massive hole in that relationship. now you’ve got a mess where a bunch of other people get burned and people get cheated on with their old exes still in their lives and it could’ve been avoided if there were financial or social ramifications to running away from problems.

secular marriage is completely pointless

i used to have a townhome but got tired of sharing walls with poor people

now im in a SFH
