Has anyone else had life changing money and didn't cash out? Had 1.1m at ATH, currently down to 200k. How to cope?

Has anyone else had life changing money and didn't cash out? Had 1.1m at ATH, currently down to 200k. How to cope?

what were you holding?
i hope it was btc...
if its btc youll be fine

Mostly alts, which slowly bled down, sold some to leverage trade and gamble, lost that too.

but why tho? what would you have gained in qol with another mil? you could have put that 1mil into the s&p500 and lived comfortably for the rest of your life.

did you learn your lesson?
are you all in btc?

You'll never make it in boomer coin fr

Idk. My train of thought was 1 mil wasn't "making it". It would be living a middle-class life (if even). I even stand by that now, you need 3-4m to live comfortably.

I hit 8M, now im down to 2

Damn, how do you cope?

I already have a high paying career, so either way im likely to retire in a year

Im just gambling to get filthy rich at this point

Lucky, what do you do for work?

im a doctor

Even as a top neurosurgeon in LA, 6 million is still roughly 10 years of work, no?

550k at some point and spew it all.
Most people here (I was like this before) expect to hit some magical number and retire after that. Problem is the exact number never comes and even if it comes you'll want more.
The answer to this is to spot when ultra normies are all in, cash out, wait 12 months out of the market (not even watching it) then you deposit ALL your money on SPY 2/3 and QQQ 1/3. Usually the indices will be 15%-20% lower than the top and crypto will be >50% down.
Even with 200k invested on SPY QQQ you can buy it 2x leverage so 400k total and wait for it to compound. Work a side job to keep you occupied somehow and don't gamble any money you've made. Even with less than 500k you can retire in 5 years tops.
I wish I'd done that because I ran some simulations and I'd already be at 2M right now instead of starting all over again.
Don't wait for a magic number, even watch dumb YT videos on how it gets "easier" after 100k, it is real even a boomer tell people "put money on the SnP" and he's absolutely right.
Good news is people here are so warped up on reality they think 100k is useless and I kinda agree but with something between 500k to 1M it's already enough to think about retiring and living your best life if you are disciplined enough.

i maean, if he cashed out he would have owed like 4 mil in taxes, so hes basically only down 2 mil

t. professional coper

Make it to 90k last cycle. Currently down to 8k.

bruh...
what have you learned?
what will you do different this cycle?

I was very new in crypto and was just lucky. Didn't know that much about blockchain technology, bitc, eth, scam projects...

And if I made it to 90k it was because I was just lucky. I was one of the first ones that got the crypto.com card and I used it for everything. Not only me, but my parents and old brother. Everytime they bought something expensive, I would ask them to buy it with the card, so I was getting a shitton of cro as cashback, plus the rewards from staking it. Then matt damon appeared on tv and the rest is history.

Entered the market december 2020 with about 5k reached 183k by may and rode it down to pretty much while removing expenses event took a collaterized loan near the top to but more and eventually I was tied

my ath a few months ago was just short of 500k
i currently have about 130k
its fine, really
im still in the same coins and think theyll go up
thinking like this is how i got this money in the first place, so ill stick with it
i try not to get emotional about it by mentally compartmentalizing my portfolio as fake money that doesnt exist until im done playing the game

im in a similar situation 1.4m to 350k
probably back above 400 with all the green these past few days.

I had enough to buy a house last run, held all the way down instead of selling because I thought it would go back up (was new to all this).
Got discouraged and sold a little at the bottom to pay some debts.
Still live with parents, unless BTC does a 3x this run (unlikely) then I won't have enough for a house.
Also entering my late 30's now and aware it's almost over for me.

30k to currently... 100 bucks

artchick i know its you, you suck at crypto, give me your mog

200k in lottery tickets

I wouldn't call it life-changing money but I've been up enough to regret not selling. Some people call that greed but it's not necessarily greed. Trading is stressful. It's a lot more stressful than believing if you let it sit there just a little longer that you'll finally make it. What's hard to accept is that you really aren't a genius that's going to outsmart the market with only a few trades but that's the reality.

??
I only ever wanted to be financially independent
turns out i kind of like my job too
so i may just continue working anyway

because of those reasons unless i get filthy rich there's not much lifestyle difference between 2M and <10M

I'd have to break into 8 figs for it to become financially irresponsible to go to work

I had $650k at peak but now I am at $235k
it could be worse but if I made the plays I should have at the right time I undoubtedly be multicentimillionaire

im still in the same coins and think theyll go up

thinking like this is how i got this money in the first place, so ill stick with it

ur gonna get slaughtered
this *might* be a left translated cycle, there is not going to be time for alts to pump before eveything crashes, only bitcoin pumps this cycle.
youve been warned

u know what else is left translated

my peanus weanus of course :)

hahaha :D

its my weeeeeanus peanus :) hahaha

what is left translated: my answer is, of course, my peanus weanus :D

hahaha!

at the peak of the 2021 bullrun my eth wallet alone was $3.5m
now im under $100k
i reality i would never have got $3.5m cause there wasnt enough liquidity to absorb my sells, but maybe a million or so

same situation, all-in link. i still wont ever sell though now that staking is out so it is what it is

kek now enjoy the 200k

hahahahah :D nice one anon got that sucka !!

Sounds like some major cope honestly. So you must be one of those people that goes around here telling everyone they actually need multiple millions to make it. Makes sense.

Everyone not in it, Won't make it

yeah I had $435,000, life changing money for me, more than 10 years of wages, all gone.

By hodling another four years, when your 200k will be worth 2m

Better to invest it in EOS. You are welcome.

Absolutely this. Im speaking from experience.

I had 600k at the picotop and now im down to 30k. I don't know if its going to get to that level again but im praying on an influx of normie zoomer easy cash.

Next time I see celebrities involved in crypto or ultra normie tiktoks announcing any sort of crypto interest is the moment I hit the big ol red SELL button and Im waiting 24 months before I buy something, and that something will be BTC and index funds.

Never heard such an opportunity, but with USDC staking coming to TRIBAL, I'll definitely jump on it and cash out quick. No cap.
