You don't need books to learn about crypto.
Just learn what a private key is (usually referred to as a seed which is kinda true but also not true), think about criminals and how they'd access your key to think about how to best protect your key, and then mess around with Litecoin to try a cheap and 100% uptime crypto to test the basics of it out.
For example, Litecoin uses UTXO. Ethereum Classic uses an account based system. This should pique your interest and you can try them both out while reading about them to see what the differences are.
I'd tell you to use BTC and ETH, but they're very expensive to play around with.

The Norwegian electricity prices has been our bread and butter for almost 100 years. It's literally been referred to as our "inheritance silver". We secured it by letting companies build our water turbines and power grid in return to run it for 30 years of profit, and after that it would be returned to the government and thus the people. So after 30 years passed, we reaped the rewards with a strong infrastructure and not being price gouged by companies. Now, in the year 2020, we pissed it away and hundreds of companies went bankrupt and people's economies are substantially worse off because we decided to give it up for EU "because it will make us look good".

It worked very well and gave us the cheapest and cleanest electricity in the world, until recent years. Our rivers are a resource that our citizens should benefit from, not be considered a common good for all of Europe by entering the global market and jacking up our own prices without seeing benefit.
