How do I learn enough to start trading crypto? Am a housewife so I have unlimited time to learn and even chase airdrops. Read the basics of personal finance and getting into other trading focused books but open to recommendations. I have a $1000 to start, already have 500 in btc and 500 in eth. Ideally I could bring in some extra income (Dream would be to retire husband but I know that takes hundreds of thousands in capital but willing to start small and be risky) Where should I go from here?
How do I learn enough to start trading crypto...
your advantage as a woman is probably the social side of crypto, networking. if you can get into the influencer groups that release new token pump and dumps, you can make a good amount of money when the market picks up.
So you'll want to learn about chains that work similar to ethereum, like polygon/base/BNB/Solana since that's where most of the new token releases and trends will be.
Great suggestion. How does one go about finding influencer groups?
housewife
tits w timestamp or gtfo!
Sorry, I don't talk to women
He's literally telling you to be a whore. Are you a cheating whore or just a dumb woman that didn't understand what he said?
Just did.
Influencer groups = being a whore? Times have changed
Great Tits with a time stamp
no
Did it again…
pumps and dumps are not a reliable source of income. I'd imagine OP would prefer something better than betting on double zero at roulette.
It depends on whether this is something that interests you at a core level. You would need to dedicate a fair bit of time to get better. It's more or less trying and testing to see what works, what does not. It's an acquired skill, since most people generally only become profitable after at least 2-3 years, sometimes five.
if you do decide to do it, it will be just absorbing endless amount of information and then testing it out in real world until you find what is good. Obviously use demo account or do symbolic $1 trades until you get better.
Obligatory:
influencers/random youtubers wont teach you how to trade 99.9% of the time. if they could, they wouldnt be trying to make money off you.
manage your risk. BTC and ETC are relatively safe, but do not go big on futures or other less mainstream coins
do not chase after profit, try to minimize risk and losses instead
There are a lot of books, all depending on what type of trading you will end up doing. Shorterm/longterm/investing/daily/scalping etc. You should pick what you think would be most convenient for you and just concentrate on that. It will narrow it down and cut the learning curve, by a lot.
Finally a legitimate answer, thank you.
It is something that genuinely interests me, I’m willing to wait the few years for profit. We’re very comfortable financially so my account is essentially play money.
I think short-term to daily/scalping is more what interests me also my husband has a healthy investment portfolio that’s long term. Any suggestions for learning material in that area?
As far as scalping goes, you can either go with price action trading or orderflow/dom trading. I would say. More or less, there are like 20 different variations of the same concept of trading the same way, using slightly different analogy/explanation/name/indicator, but PATs price action trading manual seems to be most popular one as far as trading just whats on the price chart. Thats just basic level fundamentals of how market moves. Other most recommended books I have heard is "Biggest loser wins" and "The Wyckoff Methodology in Depth".
Then there is orderflow trading. It's much more precise and reliable, but has a steeper learning curve. Either trading based on volume executed using a footprint chart/volume indicators or DOM (Depth of market) terminal, pic related.
Trading crypto is riskier, but ironically much easier to get started in. You'd want to decide for yourself, if you want to do that or say trade US futures and then focus on that.
r/daytrading and r/futures are filled with retards, but there are people who know what they're doing occasionally posting as well. Also a great source of insight.
It's all about filtering information and finding credible people who are making money to learn from
Unbelievably helpful! Are there any credible people you can recommend?
Generally best ones would have an occasional poster on reddit here or there opening informative discussion, maybe a small niche youtuber. The fact is, it just does not make sense to invest time into teaching or selling or trying to promote yourself, if you are already successful in trading. Nor would it make much sense to share what kind of advantage you have. Just consume general information on various types of trading, going away from mainstream large views content, the higher your proficiency goes. You will have to do bulk work yourself of figuring it out. You just have to look for people that actually show proof of how they trade in real time. Off the top of my head, theres a forex trader Kei who trades more longterm and has verified his earnings, however very big and heavily monetized now, probably to supplement his income. There's Diakritik, who only has a discord now since his reddit got removed, again posting trades as he makes them, generally more long term and not trading price action in the way I described above, but still very profitable. For DOM, there is Ticks-in-Flow, niche youtuber who just started posting, streamed in discord showing to be consistently profitable. There's probably many more, but I dont follow or copy anyone. It's just who I took notice off randomly. I'd recommend getting basics, seeing what works for who and see if you can find that edge for yourself.
Thank you for your well thought out responses, really made a difference in my understanding.
Hey girl how you doin?
Hey girl heyy
Tits or gtfo
You're gonna blow all your husband's money on this stupid bullshit and end up divorced. Money is crypto is either made getting lucky before the next irrational upswing or convincing others to invest in your pump and dump coin before the SEC comes after you.
Stop talking to me please
Stop coming back to this thread and answering me and it’ll all be over
I’m using my own money but your entitled to your opinion
you just need to start and learn as you go. it will be the best way imo
also what airdrops are you chasing? omnipus looks like a good one ive been seeing on here. Got pbutt and plebbit on here so im hopeful
Post feet
Learn Technical Anaylsis then start trading. It's that simple
Omni and Tari but haven’t gone through the steps just researching at this point. Any you’re particularly keen on?
Where did you learn technical analysis?
You didn’t say whose feet. No takebacks
i was doing the ton ones but became pretty disillusioned after dogs. Notcoin was pretty good tho. I'm really just focusing on omni and keeping my ear to the ground. I'm pretty hopeful on omni cause the project is interesting and the last layer 0 absolutely sent to 20mil
Trading is pretty simple honestly
Start by getting some FUN, going on Dplay, 5x that, and have capital to actually start
I'm focusing mainly on Berachain, Scroll and Linea. I got burned by Blast and zksync so idk how good chain airdrops actually are anymore tho
I've been hearing a lot of chatter about Omnipus on Anon Babble lately so I'm hoping it pulls a PBUTT
Touché
Thanks I’ll look these up. Omni is sounding pretty good
What’s Dplay?
actually check out opus-omnipus
