I came in 2017 but just didn't have enough capital. I didn't do too badly, missed selling millions of dollars but still have over $500k. But it is becoming painfully obvious to me that the window of easy gains and basically throwing a dart and guaranteeing yourself a minimum 5x has closed. Back in the ICO days you could buy almost anything that seemed like a plausible idea and profit, and many of those (LINK, ADA, XRP, etc.) you'd still be heavily in profit today with had you held.
But now no matter how much research I do it doesn't seem like anything has potential to moon anymore. VCs get bags too early and insta dump on retail. The core product of 99% of crypto projects is a token to dump on retail alongside VCs and the price never recovers. The few that do outperform you would never really see coming and often are scammy as fuck.
It turned from a dart board where every dart that lands wins to a roulette wheel with thousands of numbers on it.
Pretty much over at this point, right? I know everyone is hoping for one last big alt run but I just don't see it. The market is still too uneducated and money gets spread out too thin. Legit projects often get less attention than outright scams/rugs.
I think it's just a slow climb from here, might as well be in stocks where the volatility won't age you at warp speed.
